Having done two love stories, Sanaya looked for something different to do next. After taking a short break and appearing in two reality shows, Sanaya bagged the role of Chhanchhan in Sony TV's Chhanchhan; a mature and down-to-earth girl who comes from a liberal family and gets married into an orthodox family. the show had a few issues in terms of script as well as the male lead. The Male lead was replaced due to poor acting and his inability to connect with the audience and was eventually replaced by Anuj sachdeva. Anuj and Sanaya's chemistry was welcomed by the audience however, it was short-lived as the show was still unable to garner TRP's due to a poor script. The show ended on September 19. 2013.
